Shinedown Announce New Album Ei8ht and Massive 2026 World Tour
Shinedown have unveiled their eighth studio album, EI8HT, set for release on May 29 via Atlantic Records, alongside a mammoth world tour spanning 11 countries and 54 dates.
The 18-track album was produced by bassist Eric Bass at Big Animal Studio, blending arena-sized rock with influences from Americana, rhythm and blues, bluegrass, and outlaw country. It follows 2022's Planet Zero and marks the band's most ambitious studio effort to date.
New Single: Safe and Sound
The album announcement was accompanied by the release of lead single "Safe And Sound" — a stadium-ready track that showcases the band at their heaviest. Frontman Brent Smith described the song as being about "reminding the competition what they are dealing with one by one."
Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour
The "Dance Kid Dance Act II" world tour kicks off May 13 in Green Bay, Wisconsin and runs through late November, covering North America and Europe. Special guests include Coheed and Cambria, Black Stone Cherry, From Ashes to New, and Those Damn Crows on select dates.
Key European dates include stops in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and London from October 31 through November 22. European tickets go on sale February 27.
Career Highlights
The announcement caps a remarkable stretch for the band. Shinedown are nominated at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards for "Rock Artist Of The Year," "Duo/Group Of The Year," and "Rock Song Of The Year" for "Dance, Kid, Dance." They also sold out Madison Square Garden for the first time during their recent arena tour — a career-defining achievement.
Additionally, the band is launching their first destination event, Lunatic Ball Beach Weekend, set for October 23–25 in Miramar Beach, Florida, featuring two headlining Shinedown sets plus Bush, Flyleaf, and Living Colour.
