Arch Enemy: Mysterious Teasers Hint at New Voice or Singer

Arch Enemy are teasing their new voice following the departure of Alissa White-Gluz. Angela Gossow denies a comeback — the reveal is imminent.

Arch Enemy are keeping the metal world on edge. After the Swedish melodic death metal institution announced their split from singer Alissa White-Gluz in November 2025, an elaborate teaser campaign has been running across social media for days. The band first wiped all content from their channels and posted a cryptic video featuring a hooded figure, a burning torch, and the year “2026.”

On February 16, a second clip followed: Michael Amott, Joey Concepcion, Sharlee D'Angelo, and Daniel John Erlandsson can be seen while a previously unknown person picks up a microphone from the stage floor. Since then, speculation about White-Gluz’s successor has been running wild. One name in particular has been heavily rumored: Angela Gossow, who fronted Arch Enemy from 2001 to 2014. But the 51-year-old German quickly denied it: “It’s not ME!” She did say, however, that she is involved in the new chapter as the band’s manager.

Alissa White-Gluz left Arch Enemy after 12 years and four studio albums — including Blood Dynasty, released in March 2025 via Century Media. Just hours after the split announcement, she unveiled her debut solo single The Room Where She Died, co-written with Oliver Palotai of Kamelot.

Who will become the new voice of Arch Enemy is expected to be revealed in the coming days. The 2026 festival season is already booked — including appearances in Spain, Germany, and a possible North American tour. The new lineup will have to deliver.
