Singer, guitarist, and founding member Simon Levko of Subway To Sally announced on his Instagram profile that he is leaving the band after 35 years. In his message, he expresses his deep gratitude to the fans and wishes his bandmates all the best for the future:
“Dear Subway To Sally family,
after 35 years, it’s time to close a chapter: I am leaving Subway To Sally. For decades, this band has been much more to me than ‘just’ music – it was home, adventure, challenge, friendship, stage, a racing heart. Together we have shared countless miles, concerts, festivals, studio days, many highs and also difficult moments. It has been a long and exciting journey that now comes to an end for me.
I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you. For your loyalty, your energy, for every round of applause, every message, every sing-along, every time you turned our music into something even greater.
Subway To Sally will go on, and I wish my bandmates strength, inspiration, and tailwind for the road ahead.
Thank you for 35 years of adventure!
Yours,
Simon”
Most recently, the band released their latest studio album Post Mortem, still together with Simon in 2024.
We also wish both parties all the best for the future.
